Over the last couple of years rainbows have played an important part in people’s lives. During the Covid lockdowns people put rainbows in their windows in support of key workers, I liked mine so much I’ve kept mine in my window.
Rainbows are incredibly beautiful and they make people happy, just looking at this book makes me smile.
The cover is bright and colourful and makes you want to pick it up.
I’m not the only one who loves a rainbow, in this story Freya wants to catch one, but is it something you can do?
Well, she sets off trying to do just that. She packs her bag full of all the important bits she needs such as gloves, tweezers and her cat. And off she goes.
But everyone knows you need 2 important ingredients to make a rainbow, sun and rain. But maybe if she uses her imagination she will find her rainbow.
This is such a delightful book, it makes you feel happy reading it, and the illustrations bring the story to life – the pictures are so colourful!
I know this will become a firm favourite among children and families.
Remember to count the rainbows, there’s more than you think!
