Anna’s Garden

More and more schools and parents use picture books to teach children about life. I do this at my job in a school. I often find that books  can explain things better than us.

And this is a lovely one.

Anna knows what she likes and what she is good at.

Even though catching a ball is her favourite thing. Loud noises make her ears hurt.

Anna likes to spend time on her own, but she is also very kind and likes to share the things she does with others.

This is such a beautiful book and the character of Anna very much reminds me of both of my boys. As an adult we can see that the character Anna seems to have autistic traits.

This is a lovely rhyming story that has several important issues running through it.

And the reader will see that they are perfect just how they are.

The illustrations are so beautiful and if you have a spare minute please visit the authors website to see more of these. And you can also visit the authors website where you can hear a soundtrack to the book.
