I don’t know about you but when I open my freezer I find, chips, fish fingers, ice cream and a lot of ice.
Well for Patrick it’s different, he finds a polar bear, a big polar bear who talks. Monty is a huge polar bear, his always hungry and likes nothing more than quoting Oscar Wilde. He has extremely good manners and enjoys a good old chat. But who is Monty and how did he get there?
Patrick is going through a extremely hard time he is being bullied at school and struggling to settling into Y7.
His baby sister has died and his parents are falling apart.
Patrick forms an unlikely friendship with his grumpy neighbour, will they be able to work together to get Monty home?
This is a beautifully written story, it is funny at times but it also sensitively deals with grief, loss, depression and bullying.
