This fantastic new book is written and illustrated by Mark Bradley, and published by Hachette Children’s Books. It tells the story of best friends Bumble and Snug, who are Bugpots – that is monsters with Big feelings.
There off on a big adventure, well actually a picnic, and everything is going well until they get lost, and then all their trouble starts!
Throw in pirates, hats, and a couple of disasters and we have everything needed for a funny adventure that makes this is such a good book, especially as its funny, imaginative and easy to read.
This is ideal for children who read books more visually then textually, with bright, colourful and big pictures are bright, which compliment the text inside, and in fact they tell a lot of the story. Children who are moving on from picture books and are starting to read independently will enjoy this book and will be able to read and enjoy it by themselves. As for my school library, I will definitely be purchasing this title for the children.
