Create a Story on World Book Day courtesy of Chicken House Books

Outstanding authors Maz Evans, Emma Shevah, Christopher Edge and Holly Rivers feature in a stunning selection of book related activities that would be perfect for sharing on WBD, in school libraries, assemblies and at home – in fact they are ideal for sharing any day of the year wherever you would find the opportunity, and with all the resources provided by Chicken House you can sit back and enjoy being a part of their 20th anniversary celebrations.

The content is now live and can be found here and includes the following :

  • a 5 (4m48) minute video to play in school assembly, the classroom or at home (and includes a link to accompanying materials and downloadable activity sheets to play the game after you’ve watched the video)
  • a game of classroom consequences
  • includes easy to follow instructions, and then shows our authors playing along!
  • a useful tool to teach children important and fun creative and story writing tips
  • a fun activity that features fabulous Chicken House authors, led by event-supremo Maz Evans
  • also including authors : Emma Shevah, Christopher Edge and Holly Rivers
  • the perfect game to use during World Book Week – on World Book Day itself, or indeed any other time of the year – it can be repeated anytime – the video will stay live on www.chickenhouse.com/schools

The only materials needed in order to take part are the ability to play a video (though there is a written option that takes you through the author tips and the game without having to play the video if needed), paper and something to write with (printables are available if an option to print!).

There is everything you need to share an enjoyable activity with children and encourage them to be creative, get inspired and have fun!
